Liberty Health Share (LHS) professes to be a Christian organization, yet when it comes to doing the right thing they fail miserably! We have been with Liberty for 3 years, we are healthy and never submitted a claim.

As a part of our health maintenance, we also pay another 79 a month to a physician for discounted visits for annual check ups, blood work etc to maintain our good health. As part of this maintenance program LHS is supposed to reimburse a portion of the $79.00 ($32.00 to be exact) for our maintenance. It is a battle every month with constant phone calls to follow up on our reimbursement. I’m not sure why, because everything is done electronically?

Nonetheless, they are 5 months behind. To that point, we have absolute No confidence that if we did have a claim or needed coverage that they’d be there in our time of need. We are very blessed and fortunate to be healthy!!! Notwithstanding, if I’m going to pay an organization that professes they will be there in our time of need I must have confidence in the relationship.

LHS has not earned that confidence/trust for the last 3 years, so we have canceled our membership. The real test of their alleged “Christian format” will be when it comes to reimbursing us for the money we are already owed. DO NOT JOIN THIS ORGANIZATION IF YOU REALLY WANT TO HAVE YOUR HEALTH CARE PROTECTED!

They failed us at every turn and we never submitted a claim!! LHS is nothing more than a “Bait and Switch” organization!

AVOID THIS COMPANY

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I am extremely unhappy with Liberty. I switched from Samaritan Ministries to them thinking they would be better.

They were supposed to cover a yearly exam with mammogram. They messed up the payment and apparently didn't apply the payment to the right debt. It's gone to collection. We are coming up on a year anniversary for this mess and the debt collectors are after me bc of this company's incompetence.

I keep having to call Liberty and the collection company and be the go between. Not only that, during the past year their website was down for quite a while. They take so long to pay anything that when I go to the dr the office has had such a bad experience with their delay in payment they want me to pay up front. They put negotiating prices above the service to the customer.

Do not use this company. You'll end up physically ill from the stress they cause.

This company is poorly managed and has very poor communication ability with providers and consumers. Repeatedly will take 6-8 months to process and pay for medical claims. I do not recommend anyone purchase their insurance plans unless you want to make a lot of phone calls and get a lot of phone calls from your providers asking you to help with the errors and slow process of Liberty Healthshare.

Liberty Health Share only pays medicare rates. Be aware if you have a significamt claim you will be sent to collections for the balance as the hospitals and doctors will not settle for pennies on the dollar. Do not sign up for the terrible share plan. There are many credible share plans that actually work and pay their claims. Sadly I have sent many families to this program ,.._ i am moving all my clients off of this peogram.

I am furstrated with them as a whole

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I lost my job so I searched around for my daughter some insurance that was affordable since I did have a job. I said I would do without as long as she was covered.

I got Liberty Heath Alliance for Consumers USA had it about a month before my daughter got the flu. I ended up getting a bill from the doctor's office for 700$. I called them and they said she didn't go to a doc office that was in their network. I explain it was an emerge care.

They asked which one and said it should have been covered. long story short I got both on the phone and sent both the numbers to contact each other. They didn't have but one emerge care in the whole USA covered under their program. But after everything they signed up with the office and her bill was cut by roughly half.

Later my daughter had to go to the local hospital and Now I have a bill for 3000 dollars.

She went twice in one week for the same problem. So the hospital says they don't take the insurance and Liberty says they do.

I am in the middle of trying to resolve this but it looks as if I will be paying the whole bill. It is ending up like I am just handing over 200 a month for nothing but a piece of paper that doesn't account for anything.

They don't do anything!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This company is a scam, they haven't shared into one of my maternity bills thus far. I'm about to go into labor and they have not sent me a check for my hospital estimate as they mentioned. We have already paid so much out of pocket and we don't have the money to pay for the hospital's portion. I can't get a hold of anyone, they bounce us around with no answers. I have so many pending bills that haven't been reimbursed and some are going to collections. They don't care and just keep taking people's money. I don't need this kind of stress while I'm pregnant and shame on them for calling themselves a Christian company!!!!

This company will not get back to me about medical bills I submitted in April 2019. If they are not going to pay them, they should let me know. I can't get through on the phone and they don't respond to e-mails. They cannot tell you when bills will be paid or what the timeframe is?? I have also heard that they continue to bill you after you cancel with them so just horrendous story after story...

Help, I'm being held hostage!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
They are really good at debiting your account, but really bad at paying the bills, I've been waiting for reimbursement since March. I got hit with their renewal fee, which I wasn't going to do, but I was told that they wouldn't reimburse anything if you're no longer a client so I guess they have me hostage till they pay up or I give up!

Our hospital bill went to debt collection

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My husband was hospitalized Dec 11-12. We filed the paperwork for a claim and even lowered the hospital bill immensely from 17,000 dollars to $2800. We still ended up in collections. And paid it from our pockets.

Enough is Enough

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
They are right on schedule to take my premium out of my bank account, but months and months delay on paying my claims. I call every three weeks or so and it is the same story, they switched to a new system, claims got processed wrong, they are working as fast as they can to reprocess them correctly, call back in three weeks. I'm losing confidence fast, especially, reading that other people are having the same issues. I most likely will start looking for another alternative, this one is too much work and I am starting to worry this may be sometime of scheme. So sad as they present themselves as a Christian organization, but do not represent themselves as such. :(

I have been with Liberty going on my 3rd year. It's a great plan if you are healthy and have no claims. Had one claim 5 months ago that was above my deductible. It was for an ER visit. I have called 5 times because providers have started calling me. Every time I call liberty the people are nice but I don't believe them anymore. They tell me oh yes we are going to take care of it and guess what just checked they haven't. They really are great at taking your premium on time though!!!!

Liberty ripoff

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have been a Liberty Healthshare member since 1/1/17. My husband started Medicare and I no longer qualified for subsidies through Healthcare.gov.

After researching, I decided on Liberty. They were a great company in the beginning. They paid all that they were suppose to pay. Since first signing up, my deductible of $500 went up to $1,000 and my premium went up from $199 to $249/month.

Not bad!

However, in late 2018 they started a new software system. Well, a glitch in the new system wrongly applied claims from 2018 to my 2019 deductible. I've been calling and calling since Feb. 11, 2019.

They assured me that it was their fault and they were working on the problems. It is now almost 4 months later and nothing has changed. Every time I call, I get a different person with a different scripted response. Meanwhile, I've been sent to collections and/or have had to pay some of these claims.

The concept of health sharing is a great one.

This company use to execute it very well, but no longer. Have they grown too fast?

Is the new CEO running this company into the ground?

There are a lot of unhappy members out there. Buyer beware!
