Dissatisfaction

Slow pay and inefficient. It's a part-time job keeping up with LHS process to ensure payment. Once they process which takes months, they take an additional 180 to reimburse. Meantime your healthcare provider has turned it over to a collection agency. If you pay your provider upfront via credit card then you have to pay interest for the month. I had an accident in July 2020 and the payment is still in process as of mid-April by LHS. It will be a year after an accident will I get a reimbursement. This is terrible service

My Liberty Healthcare monthly amount was $298.00. Liberty has increased my financial obligation 51% (fifty one percent) to $450.00. My AUA was $1750.00 (a nominal amount). Yet my insurance rose 51%

My obligation was one of the most nominal in nature. I spent personally $1748.00 and the AUA is $1750,00. I'd like to know why my insurance would go UP 51% or $150.00/per month. Horrible experience

I have been with LHS for about 2 years and it has been a nightmare. It takes 6 months for them to reprice the bill the provider sends and to send the initial "sharing" amount. When the provider receives it, they naturally do not accept it and send you a "balance bill" which has to be turned over to MCS Solutions. Now, you begin another 6 month process. All the while, you are getting notices about being turned over to collections by the provider. I agree that the cost of healthcare is outrageous. But, they provided a service and should be paid - not held out on a limb for over a year. And, I should not have to deal with this. The ethics of this company are NOT what true Christianity is about, even though they make the claim of being a "Christian" company. They have a bad reputation with providers in our area. The last time my wife went in for a procedure, the provider "red flagged" our coverage because it takes them too long to pay. We had to sign a paper that we would cover the cost if LHS didn't come through.

Signed up January 2019, started using the service on February 2019, have not received a single refund, even from the expenses they alreay approved months ago.

Stay Far Away

They are way behind on paying bills. Most of the time you wait 8 to 9 months to have bills paid. I have been put in Collections may times because of their slow pay. I talk to them weekly and they keep making promises and do not carry through. I have been fired as a customer from our local hospital because of the slow pay. I have to pay cash upfront and wait to be paid to get service there

Help, I'm being held hostage!

They are really good at debiting your account, but really bad at paying the bills, I've been waiting for reimbursement since March. I got hit with their renewal fee, which I wasn't going to do, but I was told that they wouldn't reimburse anything if you're no longer a client so I guess they have me hostage till they pay up or I give up!

Denial Cashless Approval

this is Super topup of Rs. 50 lacs, deductable Rs. 10 lacs, purchased through PolicyBazaar. 1st Rs. 10 lacs MaxBupa honoured cashless to Apollo Hospital where Patient is admitted but after that Liberty denial cashless due to unknown reasons. patient didnt have 1st Rs. 10 lacs so how he can arrange Rs. 17.45 lacs when he is the only bread-earner of the family. This is a cheating and froud committed by such type of companies in india to sell their products on low cost but fail to honored their committments.

HORRIBLE BILLING SERVICE AND LYING CUSTOMER SERVICE

THEY OWE ME REIMBURSEMENTS FOR JULY AND AUGUST. I HAVE BEEN WAITING 2 1/2 MONTHS FOR JULY AND STILL NO CHECK. CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GET MORE LIES. TERMINATED WITH THEM AUGUST 31st. THANK GOODNESS FOR MEDICARE NOW! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. IT'S JUST TOO STRESSFUL. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS WITH THE DOCTORS OR LABS BUT IT'S THE HEADACHE OF DEALING WITH THE BILLING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENTS. THEY SEND YOU AN EMAIL THAT YOUR BILL HAS BEEN PROCESSED BUT THEN YOU WAIT FOREVER TO GET YOUR CHECK. WHY IS THAT?????? DOING THIS SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY RECOURSE AND THAT TO ME IS VERY UNFORTUNATE.

So Frustrating!

This has been so frustrating! Health insurance got way to expensive for my husband and I because we are self-employed. So we heard about Liberty. We decided to go with it and for the first year it was ok. Now hospitals and Dr offices will no longer submit bills for you so we are left to do it. I have submitted many and have only seen one small reimbursement check. Over the last year we have had a run of bad luck with 3 ER visits that resulted in a surgery for me, and many small sick visits for my husband and kids. As a result we are now in collections with several healthcare providers because Liberty is not taking care of getting them or us our money. We had perfect credit before we started with Liberty and now it is going in the toilet! We don't know what to do! When you call the customer service line the people are rude and treat you like you are stupid. Yes we are paying an affordable premium, but at what cost? Amidst all of this my husband has changed jobs and took quite a pay cut, we are currently looking in to switching to something else. We just don't know what to do.

Liberty Healthshare Delays

My family and I used Liberty Health share for 11 months while he was transitioning from one job to another. I can say customer service was fantastic when it involved collecting money, signing us up for our plan and welcoming us to their Christian-like family. As time progressed I noticed a large lag in the communication process. If you have any questions after making a large payment to them, please expect multiple phone calls, no response to emails, rude representatives and months of waiting for reimbursement of well visit appointments! I recommend consumers being very aware of their visit and well aware of what you are entitled when it comes to reimbursement, a lot of things will go to "utilization review" and there's a good chance it will disappear after that! Also, if you recommend anyone to their company and you are eligible for a $100 gift card, you can expect to wait 5 months before you see any of that.

Liberty Health Share paid my medical bills the first year and did a great job . August of 2018 things changed for the worst .

My bills have not been paid in 15 months. I have several family members that joined Liberty as well and they have the same issues.

Everyone needs to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Insurance Commissioners Office as well . We are currently considering canceling our policy.

Was with them for a year. They make you jump through so many hoops to get reimbursement, and now six months later, I still haven't received any!

Paid my bills up front, then submitted for reimbursement. If I paid $1,000, they corrected the credit to the Medicare reimbursement rate, not what I actually paid.

Then they still haven't reimbursed me, despite multiple phone calls to customer service, submissions and re-submissions of receipts and medical records. Such a scam!

The concept of Christian Health Share is great, but in reality they really fall short leaving their members deeper in debt. I work with insurance and would suggest you work with facilities that provide care to you rather than waste money on groups that are very helpful when every thing is rosy and become unsympathetic when you really need them or try Affordable Care Ins (they use Medicare /Medicaid rates and actually have government approval).

Do your research, with outside entities instead of getting the scripted version on how great they are from the health sharing group. Plus any coverage that has on it's card "THIS IS NOT MEDICAL INSURACE" beware beware and choose carefully.

I hope you contacted your facility that provided services to you and asked for assistants with charges. Some of the questions maybe much but what do have to lose besides receiving a revised lower bill and sometimes a complete adjustment of entire billed amount
