Not paying claims

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Here are the most recent reveiws for Liberty Healthshare with the BBB They have over 200 complaints with the Attorney General and I have requested public release of those documents to me. Also they literally told my provider they could not pay 2500 dollars for a preapproved claim I made...it makes you look bad when you list them as an alternative.

They are causing people to ruin their credit...I am on a crusade

Run, RUN from this company! Member since 2/19 Like so many others, I joined up for LHS to try and save money on health insurance. Works great if you don\'t ever have a medical issue. My wife went in for an outpatient surgery in February.

She ended up having to stay a night in the hospital. Bottom line, nothing has been paid and like so many others, we are getting bills and threats to be sent to collection. We are having to pay almost all of the bills out of pocket to keep our credit from being trashed. Unfortunately one of those bills is a huge number and I am not sure how we are going to cover it.

LHS hasn\'t even paid the paltry amount that they have agreed to pay. I was told recently by a representative that they are on a \"First in, first out\" payment policy. Meaning they are paying the bills in the order they come in. Problem is they are just now getting to paying bills from Oct.

of 2020! I can\'t think of too many healthcare providers who are OK waiting almost a year for payment. I honestly don\'t know how this company stays solvent. I am now forced to go back to my original insurance and pay the insanely high premiums.

At least my bills will get paid in a timely manner and I won\'t get stuck with tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills that don\'t look like they are going to get paid. Oh, and their Medical Cost Savings Solutions is a joke. I called them to report a balance bill and the person I talked to sounded like she had no idea what I was talking about. DO NOT go with this company!

I have been an ON TIME paying customer for several years.

Also, a healthy individual who was diagnosed with skin cancer November 2020. My claims have not been paid to date, Ive contacted Liberty Healthshare numerous times to be told it was being processed. This company gets my premium payment every month on time, but I am not a valued customer and I now have multiple offices sending me to collections. This has been a headache for me and praying for them to do as they should also doesnt seem to work with this company.

In past years I have referred customers and family to this company and with the service I have received after my surgery, I have stopped. This is utterly ridiculous and disappointing the burden thats placed on me, a paying customer.

This business feels a lot like a Ponzi scheme that never pays off. My wife has been a member since 2019. We have paid monthly premiums of $299 for the first year and a half, then $399 for the next year and ongoing.

We have also paid out-of-pocket deductibles of $1000 a year. We currently had $567.69 in claims that are designated as \"Paid by Members\", dating back to 2019, for which we NEVER RECEIVED A CHECK. So they are unpaid. For 2021 we have $622.42 designated as \"Submitted for Sharing\", which means they are approved for payment, for which we HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A CHECK.

So we have a total of $1190.11 which should have been paid by now but we have not seen one nickel. For a \"faith-based\" business, this one is very sketchy. BTW, I have spoken to their representatives multiple times, and their explanation is that they are waiting to accumulate enough money to pay the outstanding claims. It just never seems to happen.

Poor company.

Have been members since 2018 with prompt response early on. Last year after emergency room visits and increased medical costs, the run around one gets when you call is unbelievable - from incomplete documentation, to not sure what happened, there is no resolution. I have been paying expenses out of pocket so as not to ruin credit rating but am still waiting almost a year later for reimbursement. When you revise your request from paying to a medical facility to reimbursing yourself, the so called 180 days starts over Cant believe this company calls themselvesChristian.

There is nothing Christian about scamming people!

Do not use Liberty Healthshare. It has been 150 days since I went for my wellness check and they show a shareable amount of $400, but have yet to pay me. I had to take care of the bill myself. I have talked with them numerous times and they have continued to give me the same story, i.e., \"We pay bills on a first in/first out basis.

Call back when the bill is 180 days old, then we can boost it to priority.\" This means the bill can sit around untill they get the money to pay it. They cannot give you a date or a let you know when they might pay it. They cannot talk to Financial. You cannot talk to financial.

Yes, I agree, with the other reviews, I do not believe this organization is \"Christian\" or they would not treat their members the way they do. I believe they are just operating under that pretense to lure people into a false sense of legitimacy. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SO-CALLED MINISTRY.

As a member, I am extremely frustrated with LHS\'s lack of follow-through and support in paying my medical bills as marketed when you solicited me to join their network. From the date of service of July 2020, billed and submitted in December 2020, these reimbursements are still in processing.

After calling monthly to your customer service who can only offer to resubmit, which is proving to be a futile process, I get no answers or updates; it\'s just in a black hole and a waste of your CSRs and my time. They need to be shut down!

This company does not deserve even 1 star. I have been a member with them since 2015 and they are terrible beyond measure in paying our providers. I have unresolved claims from August 2020, my doctors are billing me due to not being satisfied with Liberty\'s adjustments and payments.

Although, some have been resubmitted and processed and waiting for payment; it is unacceptable that our doctors have to wait this long (over a year now and still waiting) for payment. Liberty\'s resolution department, part of MCS Solutions is supposed to be working with our providers to resolve these matters, and I have forwarded all the bills as I get them from my providers but nothing getting resolved as far as my doctors are concerned since they are still waiting to be paid for services. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for medical coverage, rather go on your state\'s plan or healthcare.gov. I have cancelled my membership with Liberty Healthshare effective 8/31/2021 and would like all my providers bills to be paid so I can be finally done with having to deal with this company.

Was a member with Liberty Healthshare for the past 3 years.

Monthly share amount more than doubled. I had WellCare visits in 2019 that were reimbursed in 3 months. My 2020 WellCare as of August 30th has been approved for sharing but not paid 8 months later. I have cancelled my membership because they are unable to tell me anything about when I can expect my money.

This now is evidence that they cant meet their monthly share amounts in a timely manner. If I had a catastrophic medical emergency, I see no evidence that they would be able to cover my expenses.

It will be a year this month and they still haven't paid my bills. I have been turned over to collections. They have never contacted me or showed that they care in any way.

Original review Jun 07, 2021
It's been almost 10 months since my hospitalization and they have yet to pay some of my bills. When I called to tell them I had been turned over to collections they told me to start making payments to the hospital. I already made my timely premium payments to them, so I shouldn't have to pay the hospital too! They are ruining my perfect credit.

Your premium payments pay for your insurance. They don’t pay for the part you are responsible for once you use it. Unless you are certain you have 100% coverage and never pay a dime, you need to make payments!

Claim great coverage through Bluecross/Multiplan PPO. Complete LIES!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

May 17th, 2021:

I filled out some online questionnaires and got Liberty Health Brokers.

Spoke to:

Agent Contact: Tyler DiFilippo

(855) 321-****.

He told me its BlueCross and the providers are on Multi-plan PPO.

He made up a lot of B.S, hyper exaggerating all the numbers.

They also have/go by names of

Altura Ministeries, Insurance Management Group, Liberty Healthcare = all these names to confuse you!

Family of Four Coverage with no existing conditions.

Bluecross/Multi-plan (false)

2 Million Coverage, per person (fals!)

$1,400 deductible for the whole family (false)

Co-Pay: $25 Office/$50 Specialty (false)

Dependents covered until 26 yrs old (false)

I told him I didnt want to get on some Christian health plan. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I GOT AND OPPOSITE OF WHAT WAS PRESENTED TO ME OVER THE PHONE.

After paying $533.75 + $100 enrollment fee &;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; careful review of e-documents, I decided to cancel.

I called and called and got reception relaying my message to Cancellation department.

After 4 calls to them, it began going directly into voicemail. After 1/2 hr, I got a hold of another receptionist and told them I want to talk to a manager. Once Chris or Kris supervisor called me back, he kept trying to deflect me and distracted me from cancelling. Turns out he doesnt even have the authority to cancel and I have to wait for the cancellation department call me to handle the cancellation.

In summary, they completely misrepresented (flat out lied to hook me) the coverage is a religious group healthcare/HealthShare.

If they dont want to cover you, they can flat out deny claim. (Ive signed up before with another so called Christian healthcare and its horrible!!) and theyre being completely rude about my right to the 30 day cancellation. Theyll say whatever and make it sound like youre crazy and try to upset you with comments in order to frustrate you further.

One comment from the supervisor; Do you even know what Bluecross will charge you, from what were offering you?

The call with Tyler D is supposedly recorded. I have also recorded on my end.

Matter of fact Tyler and Chris/Supervisor sound the same.

They claim theyre understaffed hence the departments unable to talk to me right away.

Read all the other reviews and youll know this company is a complete fraud. Go with the traditional, government approved insurance company. Not worth the immense headache as Im reading theyll figure out ways to dodge any claims youll

have with them. Hiding behind Christian Group Share healthcare = such Bogus!

In the e-signature. It states you dont believe in abortion, or drinking alcohol or smoking tobacco is wrong.

They are a minimum of 180 days behind in payments -that's 6 months! This is for pre-approved procedures. We are out over $8,000 that we paid to providers in November of last year. Still no reimbursement and their entire reply to our inquiry was "no one knows when they will write a check" - seriously that was the entire reply from their customer service specialist. Do not go with Liberty Healthshare.

Horrible payment response

My daughter had surgery 2 years ago...they still haven't reimbursed us for the negotiated amount we paid the hospital that they were supposed to reimburse to us. I call every month and get the same response...your bill has been "expedited"... whatever that means because it doesn't seem expedited to me if it is 2 years old...

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Slow pay and inefficient. It's a part-time job keeping up with LHS process to ensure payment. Once they process which takes months, they take an additional 180 to reimburse. Meantime your healthcare provider has turned it over to a collection agency. If you pay your provider upfront via credit card then you have to pay interest for the month. I had an accident in July 2020 and the payment is still in process as of mid-April by LHS. It will be a year after an accident will I get a reimbursement. This is terrible service

My claims are not getting paid in a timely fashion

Liberty Healthshare - My claims are not getting paid in a timely fashion
I had a procedure done October 30, 2019, and it still hasn't been paid. It's been submitted for sharing but nonetheless has still not been paid. When I call all the tell me is it's been submitted for sharing. Today when I called I was told that management informed the staff that all those that have been submitted for sharing from 2019 will be paid by the end of October. I've had this happen to me before and had to pay over $800 in interest charges because Liberty Health kept telling me it was getting paid and 1.5 years later it finally paid out.

I have 2 bills for wellness visit that is shareable which means they will pay them. I called customer service spoke to Veronica (who wasn't very nice) and asked when I can expect to be paid for those 2 bills and she said 180 days. I was blown away they would take so long to pay. Smoke and mirrors

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I've received nothing but a run around since Sep 2019 from this company. It's beginning to look like a Ponzi scheme, and the Ohio Attorney General needs to take a close look at this business and financials.

Look at their leadership team, full of VP's, CxO's, etc. No posted contact information for anyone, other than a generic info@... email address. I'm sure they are paying themselves well, and are quick to hit my credit card each month.

I've called and called, and get untrained staff that poorly addresses my calls. Email responses are 1 week typically, and are again vague, unhelpful, and don't even answer all questions. How convenient, hire staff that isn't trained in order to cover up bigger issues. Do yourself a favor and go with a more reputable "ministry", if I can dare even call them this.

It has been 11 months and still no reimbursement for my son's expenses, and his expenses have been the only "eligible" expenses for 2 years now.

This company has an "F" with the BBB for a good reason. Run away, and fast.

Do NOT buy this "insurance"- total nighmare!

You must understand that Liberty Healthsahres is a totaly bait and switch company. They do not remburse your paid medical expenses and will run you around so long you will give up.

It so embrassing to say you have Liberty Healthshare as your provider.

Because the medical provider will imdediately say "Sorry, we can't bill them direct, they don't pay us". So, you pay the bill and put your charges in the on line sharebox. You'll be told it will be 90 days and you'll receive paymnet back. After 90 days you start calling to see if you will be rembursed only to begin the run around once again.

I am currently over $10k out of pocket and stopped putting any paid invoices intot he sharebox becuse it takes a long time and frankly its pointless. They currently raised their monthly premium as well. I'm so frustrated and am going to have to figure out new insurance options.

Hoping this review will save people who are hoping for a great product only to be taken complete advantage of. Buy anything but Liberty Healthshares.

We found out this is fake "religions" service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This "religious" company is just collecting our money, sharing with their own pockets only. I have 2 MRIs, 3 doctors' visits and a whopping $0 from this company. Their typical approach is: in order to receive the $100 "share payment" for a doctor visit you need to wait for 3 months (their minimum processing time) and pay your premium each month (in my case 3 x $299 = $897), but even after that I didn't receive a penny. It's a pretty smart "religious" business scheme.
